iOS 14 Tips: iPhone supports real-time voice translation

In iOS 14 and newer, Apple brings a new Translator app that provides real-time translation in 11 different languages. It supports Chinese, Arabic, English (US and UK), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish translation.

The “Translate” app has a simple and functional interface that allows users to select the language to be translated at the top of the interface and then type (or paste) the text to be translated. In addition, the app supports real-time voice translation as follows.

  1. Enable the “Translate” app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Use the two buttons at the top to select the language you want to translate.

  1. Click the blue microphone button at the bottom of the screen and say what you want to translate. The translation will be displayed in large font, with the original phrase in black and the translation in blue.

4.To hear the translated voice, click the blue play button.
